Dear NRCC, As the cold weather draws nearer each day, we are reminded of the Christmas Season fast approaching. Christmas Day is just five weeks away and soon we’ll be in the hustle and bustle of shopping, cooking, baking, company parties, family gatherings and so much more. And on top of that, there’s church! As we lead into this season, our prayer is that we take a step back, breath deeply, and remember what this is all about. We will still do these things mentioned, but let’s go into them with a clear perspective and a renewed mind and remember the birth of Jesus. The perfect gift given to us that we may live and have life to its fullest. This Christmas at Nashville Road Community Church it’s about giving... We’ll have opportunities this Christmas to give to local families, work at a soup kitchen, enjoy a presentation from our children and youth, help support our Beaufort West project and much more. Check out what is happening at Nashville Road Community Church this Christmas Season. Don’t forget to like us on facebook, keep updated on our beaufort west project and other events, or listen to our sermons on-line at www.nashvilleroad.ca. Ladies’ Christmas Craft/Cooking Event... Family Giving Tree For the past few years now, we have been able to help families in our community who are struggling financially. This Christmas, help make a brighter Christmas for a family in need. During December, we’ll have tags hanging from a tree in the foyer with gifts and items to purchase.. Choose one or a few and bring back to the church so we can package together the items and give to these families. Our goal this year is to help 8 families in our community with toys, necessities and a lovely Christmas Dinner. Christmas “Stuff” for Kids Konnection Starting the first week in December, the Kids Konnection (Sr. Group) will be starting their Christmas series. We are looking for props of Christmas stuff like lights, big inflatable Christmas characters and decorations to help make this series visibly effective. If you have any of these items and would like to donate them to us, please bring them in on Sunday or during the week to the church office... Thank you! Operation Christmas Child We’ve been asked if we were doing the shoeboxes by Operation Christmas Child this year. Although we had planned to do so, there were no boxes available for us to give out.
