Jesus was someone who stretched the faith of those around him. He constantly dared people to see things differently, to act differently and to live differently. Our church gathering is a mixed group of catholic/ baptist/ anglican/ pentecostal/ orthodox/ presbyterians who are learning and practicing the way of Jesus within our localised culture.
Learning
We take our learning from the first century biographies of Jesus. These were written by people who had a first hand knowledge of his life and work. As our community re-reads these stories, with inquisitive and questioning minds, we are rediscovering Jesus.
Practicing
Our journey of Jesus-rediscovery is not confined to the ancient documents of the church. It spills out of our learning and into our lives. We want to follow Jesus as we commute to work; interact with our colleagues; do our laundry; raise our children and live in our neighbourhood.
Re-discovering Jesus is not for the faint hearted. There are difficult questions to be asked and dearly held assumptions to be challenged. We’d love you to join us and become part of the story.
